Grippy when wet . No strong rubber smell.
i don't necessarily travel a lot but the one thing i find difficult sometimes is bringing my yoga mat with me (e.g. when i go around by bike, or go to work before a yoga class).
the sage flow mat is so much lighter than my usual yoga mat and it can be folded, too! this makes it much easier for me to bring around with me. i have a trip in the coming months and i'm looking forward to bringing the mat with me on my mini vacations. i love how it gets grippier the more i sweat (especially when i take ashtanga classes when i sweat the most!), and how soft the suede feels.
honestly this is my new go-to mat among my mats at home and i'm so happy i found this.
i love my new travel mat! but i do have to bring a small water spray bottle to wet my mat before the class, the suede is pretty slippery when dry
